February 14th, also known as Valentine’s day, is the day when most countries in the world celebrate love. This day of celebration originates from the Western culture, but it is also recognized as a cultural, religious, and of course commercial celebration. Different countries have different traditions related to this day. For example, Argentina celebrates “the week of love”, and South Korea celebrates twelve different days of love: each month on the 14th there is a celebration…”day of kisses”, “day of hugs” etc. In the Philippines it’s celebrated when many young couples marry in an event sponsored by the government as a public event.
