5 STREET FOOD WE’RE MISSING RIGHT NOW!!

It is hard to not remember the days when we used to be able to hop across the street to our favorite chat-wale bhaiya which is next to impossible lately. The luxury of stepping out of work or college and being able to grab our favorite street snack seems like a distant memory due to the ongoing pandemic. We decided to pay a little tribute to the most loved street snack while we’re still unsure about visiting our loved food stalls.

1. Gol Gappe

This is literally the one thing we miss a lot. Admitting, this is the one thing we’ve all tried to make during the lockdown at home. But nothing beats our favorite chaat-waala right? The crunchy gol gappe filled with teekha paani or dahi and meethi chutney is like a burst of flavor in your mouth. I bet you’re already drooling.

2. Gola

While most of our memories are related to childhood, we all call for a glass of gola during summertime. This situation is doing a pretty good job making all of us reminisce our childhood. After all of this ends, we all need to have a gola and even stick our tongues out as we used to when we were children.

3. Momos

Tiny dumplings stuffed with our favorite fillings! And the fiery red chutney to go along with it! It’s honestly so difficult to live without them now! The fried ones, the steamed ones, or the melt-in-your mouth-cheesy ones, which one is yours?

4. Samose & Jalebi

Can we all agree that we miss waiting at Halwai shops for freshly cooked crunchy samose and those sweet, heavenly jalebis.

5. Chai

Don’t know if you can relate or not but chai has been an important part of many lives. You may prefer having coffee when you go on dates and outings at cafes but always find solace in that 10 rupees chai. We’ve done all important and trivial things over a cup of chai whether its planning a trip to beginning a startup.
