Pulwama Terror Attack : Their death will be avenged, says the Indian PM Modi

At least 38 CRPF personnel were brutally killed on Thursday, 14th of February, 2019, when a Scorpio being driven by a 20 year old boy and about 100 Kgs of Improvised Explosives (IEDs), rammed into one of the buses from the convoy carrying the soldiers. 38 soilders lost their lives on spot and the count later reached to 44. The convoy was on its way from Jammu to Kashmir, when the incident occurred at Pulwama. The Jaish – e – Muhammad later took responsibility for the vicious attack.

In an official, jaw-breaking reply to the terror attack, CRPF issued a statement saying, “WE WILL NOT FORGET, WE WILL NOT FORGIVE: We salute our martyrs of Pulwama attack and stand strong with their families. The CRPF flag was also flown at half-mast throughout the day in the memory of the brave soul.

It is being called as one of the deadliest terror attacks till date in Jammu and Kashmir. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in a public speech, warned those responsible for Pulwama attack would have to “pay for blood with blood”, and said that they have made a terrible mistake. “Security forces have been granted authorization to take decisions about the timing, place and nature of their retort… This is an India of a new convention and policy”, said the Prime Minister, later at a public rally.

The heinous attack caused great uproar among the people of India as well, common people and famous personalities like Akshay Kumar, Salman Khan, Priyanka Chopra, R. Madhavan were the first to break the silence, followed by others. Calling it a “monstrous act”, the industry expressed its shock over the terror attack.

“This is the time, when we shall rise above the rattraps of religion and politics, to stand unified against the odious terror groups and the countries sheltering them.”
