1. Gloss Over:
While matte, shimmery and metallic shades are cool to play with, none can overtake the ease and swift application to achieve a glossy look on your lid. Not only do they uplift your eyelids but they also give you that natural makeup look. Use a subtle shade on your lids, follow up with an eye gloss, or even a clear lip gloss would do the work!
2. Hues of Blue:
What was old is new again! Blue eye shadows were a thing back in the 90s, but those were mostly pastel blues. This year we are talking about shades like the electric, dark, peacock, or royal. According to MUA Kelsey Dena “Blue clearly will be on everyone’s radar in 2020.”
You can either just use any shimmery or matte blue color shadow on your lid as well as your lower lash line creating the iconic Millie Bobby Brown look. Or you can create a glam midnight eye by using the deepest shade of blue all over the lids and lower lash line following with a shimmery medium blue shade on the crease. This look would be close to the classic smoky eyes yet more alluring.
3. Neon Charm:
Neon shades have been seen from the runways in Paris fashion walks to the latest eye shadow palettes in 2020. We can see this trend among several makeup artists, influencers, and celebrities like Emma Stone, Shay Mitchell, Kendall Jenner, the list goes on.
Use bright orange eye shadow to create the sunset look. Neon shade liner can give you exceptional floating eyes. And the easiest way to use a neon shadow is using it as a highlight in the inner corner of your eyes; finish the look with liner and mascara.
4. Fluffy Undone Brows:
Giving a thought about getting one of those brow kit to get that perfectly shaped brows? Don’t. Drop the Tweezers and brow pencil because this year is all about your natural undone brows. All you need to do is brush your brows in upward direction to give them a fuller appearance.
5. Floating Crease:
Tired of the conventional eye makeup? Define your eyes with the floating crease style. This style was originally created in the 1960s by a supermodel but has reemerged as a trend this year. You can use any colored liner or even the usual black for it.Go for neon color, that would add pop to your makeup.
Makeup can be so much more than just enhancing our features. Here less is more. Just keep a few things in check. For instance buy ophthalmologist tested makeup, apply an eye primer before creating any look and use white liner pencil to make your eyes look bigger. And you’ll be good to go!
